My Top Moments of 2024

After the Winter Solstice, I tend to look inward. I stay dormant until at least the beginning of February when the balance of light really shifts, then I can allow myself to bring my new ideas into my community again. This practice has gotten richer over the years and is especially sweet this year as I reflect on the changes in my life over the past twelve months. As I look back on the year, I collected top moments from a few key areas of my life. Follow along with me!

Are you interested in continuing a multigenerational scout program? I am currently seeking a facilitator in the Duvall area to continue this work and collaborate with a builder in Duvall willing to teach basic building skills, getting people closer in touch with natural materials, community, and the natural world. Email me for more info at HomeBodyStewardship@gmail.com.

I was happy to finish more than one interview this year, but I still only published four. My intention was more than double that number, but I experienced more transition than I expected this year! This project has to feel spacious and enjoyable for me to continue it, so I didn’t rush it. I was very pleased to have the time and energy to drive down to Olympia to interview Rep. Barkis at his property management company, and his work in housing legislature is what made it my “top” interview for the year. This year, I also had the pleasure of interviewing:
Vincent Ha - AREAA Government Policy Chair, Fair Housing Advocate, & Senior Loan Consultant
Eric Spivey - Transaction Coordinator, Subto investor, Batman of Real Estate
Katie Vincent - Horticulturist, Land Stewardship Educator, + Ecological Garden Coach

Each of my conversations with them were just as rich as we all dive into the complex threads that weave together humans living together on the earth.

Enjoy the laugh! See you after the hibernation season… now into the season of darkness.
