The Home Club was founded with the search for sustainable home practices that keep future generations and more-than-human beings in the forefront of planning housing for humanity and our nature. With more ‘green’ and ‘eco-friendly’ decisions than ever, we’ve decided to blend the intentions for secure housing and healthy ecology together with a community club that dances at that intersection. Join builder and designer Garrett Charlson for an on-hands workshop to build your own bat house at The Duvall Food Forest.

Our beautiful town of Duvall us resident to many species in need of secure housing. This workshop is for people looking to build basic building skills in a class with support, to create a start-to-finish bat house for your local bats!

While Garrett guides us through basic building skills, tool basics and tool tips, and the purpose and ecology of bat houses - feel nourished with some tea and beverages made by Sarah the herbalist from HomeBodyHerbals.

PLEASE BRING:

  • Chair

  • Safety glasses if you have them (we will have spares!)

  • (Optional) Lunch or snacks to roast over the fire

  • Curiosity and bat encounter stories!

Gardeners, farmers, food foresters, foragers, and foodies alike - join us for a hands-on workshop with special guest Jeff Davis, ecological landscape designer, and founder of the Duvall Food Forest. Tues. May 30 - CREATE YOUR OWN ECOLOGICAL HOME + GARDEN: DESIGN WORKSHOP

Learn from Jeff Davis about the principles and processes behind ecological landscape design with a special hands-on workshop meeting at the Duvall Food Forest! Jeff was the founder of this amazing community food forest, and we are delighted to be working together to bring more energy, love, and education to this space to help inspire YOU to build your own regenerative food system at home. With special guest mortgage specialists who work with unique lending options for people who need to learn about how to structure loans for their home dream. Who is the Home Club for?

The monthly Sustainable Home Club us a meetup for people who are interested in regenerative home practices such as regenerative gardening, rainwater catching, plant restoration, financial literacy and creativity, integrated community, nature connection, home and property rights, civil rights, and holistic community development. Sometimes we meet at The Grange, Duvall's farm-to-table signature restaurant, or at the Duvall Food Forest for a more intimate potluck style hands-on education!
