from $30.00

Class theme: Sustainable home + garden design, mapping, holistic visioning

@ The Duvall Food Forest

with special guest teacher Jeffrey Davis

As our final class in the Spring Home Scouts series, this class is all about mapping out sustainable home and garden design and visioning for a holistic future for our lives and communities.

Are you curious about designing your home with ecological garden design principles in mind? Jeff will go over basic design principles for garden design around the home for food and medicinal use, pest control, native ecological habitat, and overall tips for aligning your vision with a well-planned map and intentional home design.

** This class is really special because we have the opportunity to help create a garden plan for Holy Innocents Catholic Church (next door to the food forest and Dougherty Historical Farmstead) to help them produce more food for their food pantry! Be a part of a community effort and feed local residents AND get hands-on experience designing a garden with food production and permaculture principles in mind! More info to come. **
